Yesterday was by far the best day I have had in the back country this year. A few weeks ago I got sick right after it had just dumped in the hills. So I was not able to go out, but this weekend the stars aligned and there was plenty of freshies to go around. This was my 1st time heading to the Chinook Pass Area.... so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised and was able to skin and ski car to car. I took 3 laps and soaked up some afternoon sun before heading down. This day made up for the winter that never was !!!!!
